Santos Gomez Obituary
Santos was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Houston, Texas. He lived a life full of heart, humor, and generosity.
He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Santos enjoyed dancing, cooking, watching football, staying in fashion, and most of all, making people laugh.
He will always be remembered for his laughter, his unwavering support, and the way he showed up for those he loved-especially his daughter Ella, his mother Maria "Nena", and the many friends he considered family. He had a generous spirit, a great sense of humor, and a gift for making others feel important and seen. Whether he was hosting a dinner at home, offering words of encouragement, or simply being present, Santos left a lasting impact by being himself.
Santos is preceded in death by his father Santos V. Gomez Sr., and his grandparents Fernando and Fela Villarreal, and Juan and Guadalupe Gomez.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Ella Gomez; his mother Maria "Nena" V. Gomez; his sisters Katherine Priscilla Lopez (Tonya) and Norma Gonzalez (Tim); and his beloved nieces and nephews: Andrew (Haley) Lopez, Alexandria Lopez, Sarah Edwards, Aiden Gonzalez, and Vivian Gonzalez; and his uncles and aunts Delva and Cosme Eduardo Ramirez Sr., Fernando Jr. and Maria Villerreal, and Linda Luison and Richard and Eloisa Gomez; and his twenty-two cousins.
A public visitation will be held from 9:00-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, with a Rosary to begin at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. that same day, with an Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
Having the honor to serve as pallbearers are Andrew Joseph Lopez, Eddie Ramirez Jr., Pete Villarreal Jr., Eric Trevino, Chris Haynes, Kevin Sandoval, and Richard Balli. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Santos, please visit our floral store.
