Sara Jane Blythe, age 42, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on August 16, 2024. Born on July 29, 1982, in Louisville, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Michael Blythe and Debbie (Howell) Blythe of Scottsburg, Indiana.
Sara was a dedicated worker, having spent much of her career as a server in various restaurants and as a cashier at Huck's gas station. Her kind and caring nature touched the lives of those she served, leaving a lasting impression on her community.
A devout Christian, Sara was a proud member of Northside Christian Church in New Albany, Indiana, and actively participated in Celebrate Recovery in Scottsburg, Indiana, and the Leaving 99 Ministry. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she found great joy in serving others through her church and recovery groups.
Sara had a passion for creativity and loved expressing herself through painting. She also enjoyed bargain shopping, taking walks with her daughters, and cheering them on as they ran track. Her daughters were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their achievements and happiness.
Sara is survived by her two daughters, Shayna Hall and Sadie Blythe of Austin, Indiana, who were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her dear friend and confidant, Shane Hall, and her loving siblings: Angie Coomer and Becky Lewis of Austin, Indiana; Danielle (Phil) Coats of Scottsburg, Indiana; Daniel (Torie) Blythe of North Vernon, Indiana; and Catherine (Bailey Reister) Blythe of Scottsburg, Indiana, and her mother, Debbie (Howell) Blythe, of Scottsburg, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Blythe, who she deeply missed.

I grew up with Sara and had many childhood memories as she and another friend lived in the same apartment complex. We would always hang out with Sara when I went to my other friend's home to visit. We'd all spend the night together laughing and talking til the wee hours of the morning.
