Sara Bruner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tri-County Cremation & Funeral Home on Mar. 18, 2025.
Sara Elizabeth Bruner
Sally
November 4, 1953- February 28, 2025.
The life contained within these dates was full and rich. She lived with faith, generosity, fairness, and love.
Sally was born at the Naval Hospital in Cherry Point North Carolina to Frank and Shirley Bruner, was welcomed by her older sister Fran, and later their family was completed by the birth of their youngest sister, Charlotte.
Sally's father had a career in the Navy, so the family moved and traveled often. Sally was able to experience much of this country and others. The family eventually settled to their home in Florida, where Sally attended DeLand High School, Daytona State College, and later graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in accounting. She retired from her career with Volusia County in 2011 but stayed busy working from home, playing Bunko, and being an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church, serving in many capacities, some of her favorites being the Women's Ministry and the Flower Guild.
The most poignant part of Sally's life was her faith and how she shared it with others. She was often the first phone call friends and family would make when they needed prayer. She would stop what she was doing and pray in the moment with faith and trust that the Father heard her. She was never afraid to share her experiences of the faithfulness of God in her life. She was generous in giving and was the embodiment of loving her neighbor as we are called to do as Christians. A true light in this world.
Sally was greeted in heaven with celebration by her mother, father and sisters who went along before her. She will be deeply missed by her family here. She is survived by brothers-in-law, Ken Teasdale (Fran) and Randy Costa (Charlotte); nephews and nieces, Jamie and Joanne Teasdale, Kari Teasdale (Fran and Ken); Jeremiah Costa, and Candace Donell (Charlotte and Randy); great nephews and nieces, Ryan and Wilcy, Meg (Jamie and Joanne); Elizabeth, Sarah and Austin (Candace); Nikki and Chey (Kari) and a great, great nephew, Theo (Ryan and Wilcy); and by many, many wonderful friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11:00 am, at
All Saints Episcopal Church 155 Clark Street, Deltona, Florida 32725.
