Sara was born August 30, 1955, in Goose Run, Ohio to Charles Pettit and Lola Clark Pettit. She was a Christian; loved everyone and enjoyed life and people; loved planting and tending to flowers; loved Ohio State football; and was mother to everyone.
Surviving are her daughters, Angela Carter of Glouster and Christina Losey of Glouster; sons, Tyrone Paul Losey Jr of Jacksonville and John Henry Marks Jr.; grandchildren, Nakayla Brooks, Kameron Carter, Brandon Carter, Madison Carter Adrianna Alfman, Alley Jennice, Makenzie Cottrill, Sydney Frank, and Maxwell Frank; great-grandchildren, Lola, Damian, Kirsten, Sophie, Charlie, Logan, Kye, Zaden, and Emerson; and brothers, Chuck Pettit, and Phil Pettit.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Marks Sr.; and 7 siblings.
Funeral services were held at 1 P.M., Friday June 21, 2024, at the Brown Funeral Home, Murray City, Ohio with Rev. Elijah Brooks officiating. Burial was in Beech Grove Cemetery, Glouster, Ohio.
Calling hours were observed 4-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
