Sarah "Bonnie" V. Buckner (Hamilton), age 100, residing in Bronston, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Bonnie was born to the late Jim & Della (Centers) Hamilton on March 29, 1924 in Letcher County, Kentucky. She loved going to church and loved her church family. She was a member of Denham Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and moving around, where she made friends all over the country. And she especially loved collecting photos of her family, whom she cherished very much.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce "Joy" (Jim) Paolello and Helen "Bobbi" Burress & (Roger Riddle); her brothers, Kenneth Hamilton and Herman Hamilton; her sister, Carol Sue Hamilton; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Buckner; her parents; a son, Terry Ray Claunch; a daughter, Cindy Woods; her brothers, Alex Hamilton, James Hamilton, Paul Hamilton, and Roy Hamilton.
A special appreciation is given to Nick Claunch and Trish, for taking such great care of Bonnie.
A funeral service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Griffith officiating.
Burial will be at Double Springs Cemetery.
The family will welcome everyone starting at 10AM until time for services.
