Sarah (Stanton) Calvo, 43, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. She was born January 16, 1981 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Paul William Stanton and Linda Diane (Ray) Stanton.
Sarah and Vince Calvo have been together since 2013, meeting when they worked together as IT technicians, and were married in March of 2021.
She was a graduate of Lee's Summit High School and later received her Associates Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from University of Phoenix. Sarah developed her love of music at an early age playing beautiful piano and violin. Music eventually took her to New York City to perform with her high school orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Sarah was an Ovarian Cancer survivor. She found her passion in homesteading that included gardening, canning, and baking. She loved tending to the family's many animals, including successfully lambing and hatching chicken eggs. Above all Sarah was a devoted mother to her two children. She homeschooled Emma several years, made sure Elijah had the best support, and always sought out events and activities for the kids. Sarah was a woman of great faith and encouraged others through scripture.
In addition to Vince, she is survived by one son, Elijah Luke Stanton, and one daughter, Emma Louise Calvo of the home; her parents, Paul and Diane Stanton, Lee's Summit, Mo.; three brothers, Jason Stanton (Stephanie) of Long Beach, CA, Seth Stanton (Brisa) of Kansas City, KS, and Kansas (aka Joshua) Stanton of Anchorage, AK; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Sarah was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She knew her Savior Jesus and is celebrating with a host of family, especially her beloved grandparents. We patiently await to see her again some day.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Lowry City Cemetery, Lowry City, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions to Autism Speaks, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
