Shirley May Meyer, 89, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her home. She was born January 26, 1936 in Clinton, MO, the daughter of Orval Lee Roberts, Sr., and Ethel May (Tullis) Roberts.

Shirley was employed as a telephone operator in Sacramento, California, she was co-owner of a masonry company and was a bookkeeper for Witt Oil. She was a member of the Community of Christ, Clinton for many years, beginning as a member of the church, advancing to Elder in 1990 and then finally High Priest in 1998. She enjoyed doing crafts and was a longtime volunteer and board member of the Clinton Samaritan Center.

She married Don Witt in 1955, and he preceded her in death in 1977; later she married Richard Baxter in 1983 and he preceded her in death in 1997; she married Jim VanAlstin in 1999 and he preceded her in death in 2005; she married William "Bill" Meyer in 2009 and he preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Perry Neal Witt on August 15, 2015; two sisters, Betty Lou Ross and Mary Anna Wareham; and one brother, Robert Roberts.

Surviving are one daughter, Sally Ann Clark (Greg), Raymore, MO; five grandchildren, Melissa Kindall (Coby), Jesse Witt, Donald Witt (Jackie), Dr. Jennifer Blair (Scott), and Casey Cope (Brandon); ten great-grandchildren, Serenity Witt, Eden Witt, Ryder Kindall, Emery Blair, Gage Blair, Chase Blair, Jaxon Cope, Hazel Cope and Evelyn Cope; one brother, Orval Lee Roberts, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., just prior to the service. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Community of Christ, Clinton, and these donations may be left in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
