Graveside services for Sarah Davis, of Clovis will be held at 2:00 PM, Fri, Jan. 30, 2026 in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. Stacy Conner officiating. Frances Townson, LaHonda Horton, Juanelle Scott, Phyllis Hamm, Mary Ann Benson, Bobby Ann Dictson and JeTonne McCasland will serve as honorary pallbearers, as well as Donna Mitchell in memorial.

Sarah Jane Davis was born April 16 in Portales to the home of Doris Ann (Doyal) and Charles Henry Doebler and passed from this life on Jan. 21, 2026 in Clovis. Sarah played the flute, piano and tennis. On Nov. 1, 1963 in Farwell, she was married to L. A. Davis. In 1965, they moved to Nara Visa, and then in 1969 to Clovis. They relocated to Melrose in 1971, and moved to the Floyd community in 1983. In 2005, they moved to Clovis where she had made her home for the past 21 years.

L. A.'s work took him far and wide, and Sarah was his constant companion. She acted as his bookkeeper for their business. In addition, she never missed one of her children's or grandchildren's band or choir concerts, or sporting events. All of her family were active in FFA, and she faithfully maintained her membership in the FFA Alumni. Sarah was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church in Clovis.

She is survived by two sons, Conner Davis of Hobbs, NM and Dalton Davis of Clovis; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Luana and Billy Johnson of Kaufman, TX, Kara Hillis of Clovis and Tami and Steve Skymske of Geneva, OH; two grandchildren, Brennan Hillis and Jalee Snipes; and two sisters, Debbie (Ron) Johnstone of Houston, TX and Kay Doebler of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as by her beloved husband, L. A. who died May 3, 2024.
