Sarah I Patterson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sarah Patterson, 94, of West Long Branch, NJ, who passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 2, 2025. She was born on August 15, 1930 in Enfield, Connecticut to Matteo Cuatia and Calogera Giglio. She was one of twelve children.
Sarah's faith was the cornerstone of her life. As a devout catholic, she was an active member of the Rosary Altar Society and a dedicated CCD teacher sharing her love of God with countless children over the years. Her service extended beyond the church walls-she volunteered at St. Jerome's Lunch Program caring for those with warmth and compassion.
She was also deeply involved in her community, giving her time and energy at Peter Cooper Village. Her simple acts of kindness touched many lives.
Sarah found joy in bingo, arts and crafts, sewing, watching game shows on tv and most of all her lottery scratch-off tickets. However, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she treasured every moment shared with them.
Sarah is survived by her children: Irene Joline, Carol Neale, Lillie Ottaviano, Barbara Patterson and William Patterson. Grandchildren: Sherry Lawton, Dana Panduri, Richard Neale, Renee DaSliva, Amanda Patterson, Heather Patterson, Steve Ottaviano and Michael Ottaviano. As well as 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 11 siblings, her husband William Patterson, her son Garry Patterson, and her granddaughter Vanessa Patterson.
