Sarah C. Wilson

Sarah Wilson "Nee" Cunningham was the youngest daughter and one of sixteen children born to Hardy and Annie Mae Jackson Cunningham. Seven children predeceased in early childhood, she was one of the nine survivors. Sarah was born March 6, 1945 in Anderson, SC; educated in the Anderson School District #5. She attended Mt. Carmel AME Church where she was a faithful member under the leadership of Re. Pickens and Rev. McWoodson. While completing that stage of her life and education, she met and married Frank Lee (deceased). They migrated to New Haven, CT where they joined Sommerville Baptist church and Little Rock Faith No. 5 International Mason & Order of Eastern Stars. Later, she married John Wilson (deceased) where she joined Emmanuel Community Baptist Church. With her passing, she joins her parents Hardy & Annie Mae, Frank & John; brothers, Earl, Williams, JB and sister Eliza. She leaves to mourn with her passing; step-daughter, Tawana Newton of New Haven; God-sons, Daniel Cunningham, East Orange, NJ, Robert Coleman, Jr. (Patrice & Letrell), Newark, NJ; special friend, John Cox of West Haven; devoted Masonry brother, Elijah Gause, Northford, CT; sisters, Annie Lee Williams, Anderson, SC; Katie Crawford, East Orange, NJ, and Mary C. Coleman, Teaneck, NJ; sister-in-laws, Ruth Cunningham, Washington, DC; Lenora (Mark) Bullock, Piscataway, NJ, Johnnie Mae Wilson, NC and Sadie Wilson, Grifton, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, lodge brothers, and Chapter sisters, friends and church family and friends.
