Saravanan Rajagopalan, affectionately known as Saro to his friends and family, passed away on May 18, 2024, in Austin, Texas, due to heart failure. Born in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India, on April 14, 1980, Saro was a beacon of love and kindness throughout his 44 years of life.
Saro grew up in a close-knit family, cherished son of S. Rajagopalan and Parvathy Rajagopalan, and a caring brother to Senthil, Ponraj, and Shuba. His formative years in India shaped his resilient and compassionate spirit. Saro pursued his higher education at the College of Technology, Coimbatore, where he not only excelled academically but also formed lifelong friendships.
After graduating, Saro began a successful career with Wipro, dedicating 20 years of service that was marked by his selfless commitment and exceptional work ethic. His colleagues remember him as a guiding force and a mentor who always had time for others.
Saro's heart found its true match in Lalitha, and together they built a life filled with love and joy, welcoming their children, Anjali and Aryan. Saro was a devoted husband and an exemplary father, always present and involved in every aspect of his children's lives. His family was his pride, and he instilled in them the values of kindness and generosity that he lived by every day.
An active member of the Austin Strikers soccer club for the last decade, Saro's passion for the sport was evident in his enthusiastic participation, both on and off the field. His teammates will fondly remember his sportsmanship and the camaraderie he brought to every game and gathering.
Those who knew Saro were touched by his loving nature, his kind gestures, and his selfless approach to life. He was a man who always put others before himself, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
As the poet Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Saro made everyone around him feel valued and loved, and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Saro's life was a testament to the impact one individual can have on the world through simple acts of love and kindness. He will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his spirit will continue to shine brightly, guiding us through the days ahead.
Funeral services will start at 8AM on May 22nd and will be held at Beck Funeral Home at 15709 Ranch Rd 620 N, Austin, TX 78717.
