Saray Ann McClain

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Saray "Ray" McClain. A loving and devoted mother, who departed this life on December 20, 2025, at the age of 51.
Born on June 2, 1974, in Newark, New Jersey, Saray lived a life rooted in love, strength, and generosity. Saray was a caring and giving woman who opened her heart and home to everyone she met. She had a beautiful spirit, a warm smile, and a way of making people feel loved and welcomed. Her kindness touched countless lives, and memories of her will live on through the family she cherished so deeply.
Saray was a devoted mother to her three children, Brittney McClain, Desiree McClain, and Marquise Granton, whom she loved beyond measure. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Keymari Davis, Ja'Nique, Jazzmine, Ja'Zyia, and Jah'Seir, who brought her endless joy and pride.
She is survived by her ex-husband Marquise Granton, brother John Leff alongside other siblings, and extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
Saray was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Leff; father Nathaniel McClain; her sister, Shawn McCurdy; her brother, Bernard Leff; and her niece, Jasmine McCurdy.
Though Saray is no longer with us in body, her love, laughter, and spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
