Jose Rojas Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boulding Mortuary, Inc. on Dec. 18, 2025.
Jose Miguel Rojas Sr. also affectionately known as Gelo or Joe by family and friends, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, surrounded by love and family.
Jose entered eternal rest in a home filled with warmth, love, and celebration, as family gathered to honor life. Though our hearts mourn his passing, we find comfort in knowing his suffering has ended and he is now at peace.
Jose was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and father to many. He was the heart of his family - a protector, a guide, and a constant source of strength. His love extended far beyond his immediate household, as he opened his heart and home to many who looked to him for care, wisdom, and support.
A proud United States military veteran, Jose served his country with honor and dignity. His service reflected the values he lived by - loyalty, resilience, and an unbreakable commitment to family.
Those who knew Jose will remember his strength, presence, and the way he loved fiercely. He had a gift for making others feel safe, supported, and deeply cared for. His legacy lives on through the generations he helped raise and the lives he touched.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Florentina, his children Maria Rojas/ Spouse Joseph Mallory Jr, Celia Rojas-Beard/ Spouse Antoine Beard, Jose Rojas Jr/ Spouse Finesse Murray. Eleven grandchildren Jalon'e, Saniya, Jalaysha, JoVon, Milyse, Luisa, Jose III, Keilah, Carmelo, AriyaReign, Artist. One great-grandson Amai Lao Zink. Two sisters Wanda Brown, Iris Rodriguez. One brother Julio Rojas. along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his mother Felicita Negron, his father Francisco Rojas and his brothers Nelson Rojas, Felix Colon and Carlos Rodriquez.
A private memorial celebration of life will be held at a later time to honor Jose's life and legacy.
