Satoshi Waite, 78 years old, was born in Kobe, Japan, to his mother, Satoko Okada. His biological daddy she said was sadly killed in the Korean War. Later she married Mr. Miles Waite who adopted Satoshi. They came to live in Seattle, Washington for a time & Satoshi enjoyed the country cows in the fields & singing English in the elementary school. He had learned some English already at St. Michael's International School Kobe as a little boy. When Satoshi and his mom returned to Japan he dreamed to come back to America. In 1969, January, Satoshi had worked welding saving his money, then a wonderful family Elmer, Grace & Patty Puls sponsored him to come to Hammond, Louisiana. In April 1969, Satoshi met his wife of 53 years, Carmelina Joy DiDio Waite, who was amazed at his artist talent & in latter years taught her to help him ( See Danny's Portraits on Facebook) They were friends for two years and married September 4, 1971 and blessed with two children, Dan & Mia. September 1974, Satoshi, Carmelina & little son Dan went to Hawaii & then to Kobe, Japan to bring mama Satoko back to live with them for many years.
