Saul Armus, 91, died September 3, 2025.
Saul was born in Brooklyn, New York, and lived in Fairview and Pine Brook, New Jersey before settling in Somerset in 2005. He was the co-owner of Pine Brook Car Wash until his retirement in 1992. A proud veteran, Saul served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had a lifelong love of remote-control devices, airplanes and cars, M&Ms and Superman, and was a devoted fan of the New York Mets and New York Jets. Saul will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his brother Allan Armus and sister Anita Lomberg.
Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Arlene Berkowitz Armus, sons Kerry (Patti) Armus and Adam (Lisa) Armus, daughter Anavadya "Jacki" Armus Taylor (Kolin), seven grandchildren, Sara, Molly, Annie, Emma, Zane, Isabella, and Maya, and two great grandchildren, Zoey and Remi.
Funeral services will be at 10:30am on Friday, 9/5, at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Burial will follow at Wellwood Cemetery, West Babylon, New York for immediate family only.
