Saul Strober Obituary

Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Aaron and Sally (née Schechner) Strober in a neighborhood where almost everyone knew each other. He resided there for 36 years before moving to Milltown, NJ where he lived for 50 years. Five years ago he retired to Monroe Township.
Saul worked as an accountant for HBSA Industries, Inc., in Brooklyn, NY, for 28 years.
In his spare time, he most enjoyed the company of his grandchildren and working in his vegetable garden. He was a voracious reader of science fiction, a lover of animals, and in his younger years he was an avid tennis player. Saul appreciated folk music-Simon and Garfunkel were probably his favorite-and he shared a love of Gilbert and Sullivan with his late brother-in-law. At the time of his death, he still hadn't forgiven the Dodgers for moving to LA.
Saul is predeceased by his parents, Aaron and Sally Strober; his older sister, Ruth Mollick, and her husband Milton Mollick.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sheila (née Rissman) Strober of Monroe Township; his two daughters, Jamie Sobolewski and her husband, David, of Marlboro, and Debra Strober and her husband, Jeremy Schneider, of Hoboken; and his two grandchildren, Liam and Riley.
A chapel service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 12:45 pm, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. Interment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery, South Brunswick. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
