Saundra K. Hill

SAUNDRA (SONNY) KAY HILL, age 74, was called to her heavenly home on August 31, 2024 at 6:06 p.m. at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. Sonny was born on February 2, 1950 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Grovell and Betty (Hill) Lee.
Sonny is survived by her son Curtis Williams, Piqua, Ohio and her daughter Tara Williams, Trotwood, Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren Katlynd Link, Kyra Jones Williams, Kyrin Jones Williams, Kyrell Jones Williams, Reagan Bowen, Skylar Bowen, Kindric (Julia) Link, Madalynn, Lauren and nine great grandchildren Lola, Tripp, Beckham, Kyoni, Samiya, Kinglin, Kali, Adrian and Mariyah. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Sonny retired from Sears and Industrial Products in Piqua, Ohio. She was currently working at Subway where she loved seeing all familiar faces.
Sonny was an avid bingo player at St. Boniface where she also volunteered. She enjoyed traveling with her dear friend Kelley and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends. Sonny was always known as the "life of the party." She left a lasting impression on everyone she came in contact with. Sonny was known to be a mother, aunt, grandma and friend to all of those who needed one. Sonny will be greatly missed and forever loved.
A celebration of Sonny's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Transformed Life Church, 421 Wood St, Piqua, OH 45356 with Pastor Brian Hamilton officiating and Pastor Susan Taborn, Eulogist. Family will receive friends Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Transformed Life Church. Arrangements are being handled by Melcher-Sowers Funeral Home.
