Savong Sok Teng

Mr. Savong Sok Teng, 69, of Newnan, GA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 24th, 1955, in Krong Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia, to the late Phuorng Teng and Laing Chu.
After escaping the Khmer Rouge, Savong immigrated to America with almost nothing. Through hard work and determination, he learned the language and embraced the American culture-studying diligently while working full time. He began as a line worker and eventually rose to become the Plant Manager at the chicken processing plant where he dedicated much of his career.
Savong was known for being frugal with himself yet graciously generous with others. He had an unwavering passion for hard work, a quality he proudly passed on to his children. He firmly believed that if you were capable of doing something yourself, you shouldn't ask someone else to do it for you.
Savong is survived and deeply missed by his loving wife, Susan Thi, and his sons, David and his wife Olivia, Christopher, and his wife Katee. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his four grandchildren: Caleb, Titus, Jonah, and Silas. He is also survived by extended family, including siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
The family invites relatives and loved ones to join in a Celebration of Life service honoring Savong Sok Teng, to be held on July 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Buckhead Church, 3336 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326.
