Scot Buel Boyd was greeted by the arms of the Lord on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Baldwin, after a motorcycle accident, with his girlfriend, Renee Szakacs. Scot was 53. He leaves behind his two beloved sons, Jacob Boyd and Wyatt Boyd, who were not only his pride and joy but also his greatest legacy. Scot is preceded in death by his grandparents, Buel and Geraldine Boyd.
Born in Reed City, MI on October 27, 1971, Scot lived a life marked by hard work, deep faith, and unwavering love for his family. He was a dedicated businessman who built his own excavation company from the ground up, working tirelessly alongside his sons. Their shared passion for the work made it more than just a job; it became a family endeavor rooted in trust, skill, and pride.
In addition to running a successful business, Scot was a devoted farmer. Whether it was tending to his land or managing daily operations at his hog farm, he approached farming with the same determination and care that defined all aspects of his life.
Scot's strength, generosity, and quiet wisdom touched the lives of many. He taught by example, showing his sons the value of integrity, the dignity of labor, and the importance of standing by your word. His love was steady and enduring, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Scot's memory will live on in the lessons he taught, the life he built, and the family he cherished.
Cremation and care have been entrusted to the Corey Funeral Home in Evart, MI. A life celebration is being planned for a later date, until that time share with us on Scot's tribute wall online at www.coreyfuneralhome.com
