Scott L. Adams, Sr, 66, of Allentown passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1957, he was the son of Anita (Roeder) Adams and the late Raymond F.L. Adams III. He was the loving husband to Joanne K. (Hamersly) Adams, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. Scott worked as a mechanic for the city of Allentown for over 20 years before his retirement. He also was the owner and operator of Adams' Salads in the Allentown Fairgrounds Market since 1992, and it is still owned and operated by family today. Scott was a member of Hogan's Social Club, East Allen Fire Co., Cetronia Fire Co., Woodlawn Fire Co., and the Mercantile Club. He also enjoyed visiting Ringer's Roost and the Kuhnsville Hotel. Scott loved socializing and always enjoyed sharing a beer with his friends whenever he had the opportunity. So much so that he was known by many as "Mr. Miller Lite of the Lehigh Valley." He also loved spending time with his family, particularly their vacations to Wildwood.
In addition to his wife Joanne, Scott is survived by his children, Scott L. Adams, Jr. (Trish), Michael Adams (Amanda), brothers, Raymond F.L. Adams IV, Mark Adams, and David Adams, grandchildren Scott III, Kyle, Connor, Carson, and Olivia.
A viewing will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Stephens Funeral Home, 274 N. Krocks Rd. Allentown, PA 18106, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Ringers Roost, 1801 Liberty St. Allentown, PA 18104 at 1:00 PM. Scott's family request you to attend the services comfortably, even wearing your shorts and flip flops as Scott would do.

I've known Scott and Bubba since I was five years old. I spent a decent amount of time with the Adams Family, going to watch the boys play at Mountainville, swimming at Mack Pool, and fishing on Trout Releaee Day. I wish Jo, Bubba, and family peace.

I left Allentown in 76. I lived many places throughout my military service and my wifes military service. Every time I came to visit Allentown I would stop by the Farmers Market to see Scott, Bubba, Jo, and Momma Adams.

I know Scott is in a better place, without any pain. Have a beer in Heaven and tell my mom Nancy Holveck I said hello.

Joanne & entire Adam's family, we were saddened to hear of Scott's passing. He was a such a happy go lucky guy. May you take comfort in knowing he will be greatly missed but always remembered with the memories. He definitely was one of the good ones. May he rest easy on that beach with never-ending ice cold Miller lite at arms reach.

Seems like so long ago a friend invited me to come and play fastpitch softball. My decision to play was the opportunity for me to become friends with so many different people. Scott and his brother Ray were two of them. I was so blessed to be introduced to the entire Adams family and will always cherish that part of my life. Scott was a beautiful human being and even though over time we lost touch with each other...I still loved him like a brother. My condolences to Joanne and all the Adams family. I am sure Scott will be missed by so many people whose lives he touched but he surely will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Brother and know that you were loved by so many....Bob Meckes
