Scott Hampton Brooks, 34, passed away June 20, 2024 in Gastonia. He was born in Gaston County, North Carolina, on April 7, 1990 to Rosemary Stiles Brooks and the late Lon Eric Brooks.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Gene Andrews; grandfather, Charles W. Stiles; grandmother, Joyce Ann Radford; sister, Linda Jane Holbrook; uncle, Charlie Stiles; aunt, Norma Messick; cousin, Jennifer Messick; and his friend, Justin Perkins.
Scott was a great mechanic who could work on anything and his favorite cars were Lincolns. He also enjoyed watching movies and traveling with his family. The light of his life was his wife and children who he adored and worked every day to provide for. Scott leaves many happy memories to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Scott is survived by his wife, Chasity Haney; children, Ahlyana, Liam, Cali, Amara Ayden, Kayla, Jayse, and Alexie; mother, Rosemary Brooks; siblings, Eric Brooks, Lon Brooks, Amy Beane, Lisa Brooks, Tracey Brooks, Sierra Brooks; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends will gather from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Wayne Philbeck officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
