Scott Allan Callahan, son of Pat and Al Callahan, died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 6, 2024. Scott was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on October 17, 1975, and attended De Pere schools, graduating from De Pere High School in 1994. He went on to earn an associate degree in CNC Machinist from NWTC.
Scott was passionate about bowling, starting at the age of four. He was very excited when he bowled a 300 game. He enjoyed music of the 80's and 90's and the classic oldies. He could identify any car on the street and loved vintage cars and trucks. Family was very important to Scott, and he loved family gatherings filled with laughter, food, and games. He joined in on the family and friend fun at a cottage in Eagle River every summer. Halloween was his favorite holiday, and he was always searching for just the right costume and spooky décor. He was fortunate to make his second trip to Ireland with his family in 2023, during which he took so many pictures! He met Jennifer Woods in 2022, and together they enjoyed watching movies, shopping, and going to concerts together. His two cockatiels, Snowball and Joey, were his "babies".
Scott is survived by his parents, Pat and Al, his loving sister and brother-in-law Jennifer and Jason Johnson, his two very special nieces, Katie and Emma, and his girlfriend Jennifer Woods. He is further survived by his Uncle Pat (Karen) Callahan, Aunt Ollie Isenard, Aunt Maureen Falk, Uncle Dennis (Lynn) Callahan, Uncle Bob (Colleen) Callahan, Aunt Terry (John) Turner, Uncle Mark (Mollie) Callahan, and many, many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Jennie Obert and John and Virginia Callahan; aunt and uncles John and Fay Callahan, Mary and Darrell Panure, Dick Isenard, Allen Falk, and Larry Callahan.
Family and friends may visit at Old St. Joseph Church, 100 Grant St. De Pere, on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 8:30am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am with Fr. Michael Brennan O.Praem. officiating. Ryan Funeral Home is assisting the family in funeral arrangments.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott's name to Unity Hospice or St. John's Homeless Shelter.
The family would like to thank Dr. Soro and the nurses, staff, and emergency room staff at St. Vincent Hospital, and the doctors and staff at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee for their kind and compassionate care.
