Scott Corneau Obituary
Scott was born November 3, 1972, in Potsdam, New York. Son of Thomas and Sharon (Gagnon) Corneau predeceased by both paternal and maternal grandparents, uncles John Corneau, Robert Corneau, Lawrence Gagnon, aunts Susan (Corneau) Clement and Mona (Fredricks) Gagnon.
Scott graduated from Madrid Waddington Central School in 1991. During those years, he participated in baseball, soccer and basketball. He was honored with awards in soccer and basketball by Section 10, and voted Captain of many teams by his teammates. After high school, Scott attended Canton College and State University College at Potsdam. He became a NNYSOA soccer official, working high school games until he left for the Carolinas. Although small in stature, he would compete with anyone at any game.
In life, Scott worked in the home improvement industry and was most passionate about helping out his friends and family and loved his cats Bubba and Peanut. Scott took pride in being a notary and an officiant of wedding ceremonies. Scott was a kind-hearted man and a friend to all.
Scott was a diehard fan of the Yankees, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Syracuse Orangemen. He could be found watching multiple screens in his beloved Garage People's House. In his leisure time, Scott loved to garden in his greenhouse, golf, fish, as well as build frames through his business Puzzling Frames.
Scott is survived by his loving family including his father, Thomas Corneau, mother Sharon (Gagnon) Corneau, brother Jason Corneau, sister Patti (Corneau) Jarabek, brother-in-law Jay Jarabek, nephews Daniel and David Jarabek, uncles Richard Sarazen and Donald Gagnon, aunts June (Corneau) Sarazen and Edie Gagnon. He was loved by cousins and many, many friends.
The memorial service will be private.
