Hope was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She joined her deceased son, Michael Robert Corneau, a very talented and successful goldsmith in Charleston, SC, on March 6, 2024. She was born April 14, 1941, in Elmira, NY to Lewis and Eloise (Tipple) Liddick. She is survived by her husband, Robert Corneau, two of her sisters, Gail Woods and Lee (Tom) Coggin. She is also survived by her daughters, Dawn Corneau-Dia and Michele (Michelle Tenny) Corneau, grandchildren Elizabeth (Brian) Choo and Matthew (Lauren) Dia, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Lynne McCann and her cherished son. Hope graduated from EFA in 1959 and the Arnot Ogden School of Nursing in 1962. She worked at the Arnot as a NY Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) for over 35 years. She was married to Robert L. Corneau for 61 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, gardening, and being active outdoors. The family will welcome relatives and friends to the Elmira Garden Club, 426 Fulton Street, Elmira, NY on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 2PM for Hope's Celebration of Life Service with the Southern Tier Nurses Honor Guard. Light refreshments will be served. If inclined, in lieu of flowers, consider a memorial contribution to the Falck Cancer Center or the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. March is Colorectal awareness month. They will double any donation during the month of March. Dark blue is the color for colorectal cancer. Whenever you wear dark blue, please think of Hope.
