SCOTT GLENN CUMPER
Scott G. Cumper, 54, of Kingston died Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at his home. He was born August 30, 1971 to Phillip and Bonnie (Plummer) Cumper. He married Candi Lynn Cummings on January 7, 2006 at his home in Kingston.
Scott graduated from Otisville High School. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and skeet shooting with his kids, which always became a competitive event. Scott coached Ethan’s baseball team to a winning championship season. You could always find him at Lauryn’s and Emma’s softball games, as much as his work would allow. Scott enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden. He loved tending to and showing his horses. Scott had a larger-than-life personality. John Wayne was his lifelong hero. A very talented woodworking artist, he hand carved many unique items with focus and dedication. It was his loving grandfather, Quinton Plummer that mentored him and instilled in him the appreciation of John Wayne and wood carving.
Scott is survived by his wife, Candi; children: Emma Cumper of Mayville; Lauryn (Evan) Storie of Bay City; Ethan Cumper of Mayville; parents: Phillip and Bonnie Cumper of Columbiaville; brothers: Brad (Cami) Cumper of Columbiaville; Lonny (Annette) Burns of Gaylord; nieces: Isabel, Peyton; his dogs, Jake and Sapo.
