Scott A. DesRoberts

Scott Allen DesRoberts, 51, of South Beloit, IL., passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2022, surrounded by his family, after battling stage four renal cell carcinoma. Born to George and Amelia (Monro) of St. Andrews, Scotland. Scott was in the graduating class of 1990 at Bulkeley High School in Hartford, CT and would later join the United States Marines Corp. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton and Okinawa, Japan where he studied music. He was a member of the Armed Forces School of Music. Scott played the tuba, drums, and the bass guitar and was a member of the bands: Jaws of Life, Stinger, Gar Richmond, and LYX. After the Marines, he became a salesman for Coca-Cola, 7up, Kitchen Fresh Food, and Rock Valley Fence and Deck. After being best friends for twenty years, Scott married Crystal Marie Carter on May 24th, 2020.
Scott is survived by his wife, Crystal Marie DesRoberts; children, Austin Matthews, Angel Carter (Isaiah), Alexis Rutherford, Blair, Amber, and Cameron (Maggie) DesRoberts; grandchildren, Braxtynn, Brodi, Zayden, Conner, and Willow; mother, Amelia DesRoberts; siblings, David (Bonnie) Ingerson, Timothy DesRoberts, and Sandi (Jerry) Drouin. He is predeceased by his father, George Joseph DesRoberts. A very special thanks to the VFW; Veteran's Assistance Commission for their support; Becky at Sanctuary Hospice; Taylor at Helping Hands; Dr. Khan and Dr. Grogen; and Aunt Kathy for all of their loving care.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5th, 2023 at Arlington Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4rd, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fred C.
