Scott Shannon Hawkins, 53, of Charleston, WV, earned his wings on November 7, 2025.

He was born in Tampa, FL, on June 24, 1972, to loving parents Cecil and Carolyn (Friddle) Hawkins. Following graduation from high school, Scott succeeded when he followed his dream of becoming a professional wrestler. He was known as "Spike" in the wrestling arena.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Hawkins.

Scott is survived by his sons, Bryce "Nathan" Hawkins (Kaylee) of St. Albans, WV, and Dakota Taylor of Charleston; daughter, Baylee; grandson, Brycen Lee; brothers, Tony Hawkins of Williamson, SC, Jerry Hawkins (Cheryl, deceased) of Williamson, and Gene Hawkins of Williamson; the mother of his children, Sherry Lynn Hawkins, and close friends, Chuck Taylor, Joseph Murphy (Beth Ann), Crystal Ragland, and Jamie. Scott was like a father to Hannah Taylor and Kaitlyn Taylor,

A family man at heart, Scott moved to West Virginia to be close to his family soon after the 2016 death of his father. After moving to West Virginia, he was the community Santa Claus. Every year, including this year, he would start growing out his mustache and beard a few months before the holiday season.

No service will be held.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.barlowbonsall.com.

Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
