Mr. Scott Anthony Highfield, age 52, of Rome, GA, passed away on September 23, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Highfield was born in Rome, GA, on February 17, 1973, son of the late Robert Lee Highfield and the late Joyce Penny Highfield. He attended Coosa High School in Rome. He was employed as a pool technician at Watters & Associates for many years before an injury forced him to retire. Mr. Highfield enjoyed fishing, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and classic cars. His favorite hobby was yard sales. Every Saturday he spent time traveling from yard sale to yard sale, throwing in an auction every now and then, always looking for a deal and his new treasure. Mr. Highfield was of the Baptist faith and is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus for eternity.
Survivors include his loving wife, Michelle Alley Highfield, Rome, to whom he was married on July 1, 2023; 3 stepsons, Devin Highfield, Michael Alley, and Brandon Varner; a grandson, Jameson Michael Alley; his brother, Mark Highfield (Mandi); his uncle, Hank Penny; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Chad Penny officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12pm until service time on Sunday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30pm on Sunday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include: Active, Brandon Varner, David Brown, Jerry Harcourt, Billy Jackson, Perry Vaner, and Xavier Brown; Honorary, Dakota Varner.
Funeral services are pending at this time, please check back for full service arrangements.
