With heavy hearts but great hope in the promises of our Lord, we announce the passing of Scott Nelson Kimball, who was called home to be with Jesus on August 25, 2025, at the age of 73 in Fort Worth, Texas. A faithful husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend, Scott’s life was a testament to love, grace, and quiet strength.

Born on September 23, 1951, in Douglas, Arizona, to the late Betty and Charles Kimball, Scott lived a life full of purpose, curiosity, and unwavering faith. From a young age, he held a deep respect for history, which led him to earn a bachelor's degree in history from Central State University. This passion continued throughout his life, as he visited countless museums and historical sites, always eager to learn and reflect.

Scott spent over two decades working with State Farm Insurance in the litigation department, where he led with integrity and kindness. His dedication to his work and his team left a lasting legacy, and he retired with the admiration of many. But more than his career, Scott’s greatest joy was his family.

Over 50 years ago, in a quiet apartment laundry room, Scott met the love of his life, Donna. After a few encounters and one wholesome comment—“you look like you could use a sweet tea”—Scott stole her heart and never let go. Together they built a beautiful life grounded in love, laughter, and shared faith.

Scott was a godly man, active in his community and his church. He was a longtime member of Park Springs Bible Church and participated in local theatre groups including Theatre Arlington, Plaza Theatre Company in Cleburne—always drawn to the stories that brought people together.

He was a loving and proud father to Ryan (Jill) Kimball and Chris (Brittany) Kimball, and a deeply adored grandfather to Kylie, Cooper, Brooke, and Cole. Each grandchild held a special place in his heart, and each had their own unique nickname for him—something that reflected his individual bond with them. His grandkids were truly his world.

Scott is also survived by his dear brother, Mike Kimball. He is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Vicki (Kimball) Blaire. He cherished his siblings and held family at the very core of his life. His relationships were marked by loyalty, warmth, and a deep sense of service—always putting others before himself.

Those who knew Scott would describe him as a man of quiet wisdom, servant-heartedness, and unwavering faith. He was a listener, a supporter, a comforter, and a joy to be around. He loved deeply and lived well—always guided by the hand of God. Though our hearts ache at his absence, we find peace in knowing that Scott is now resting in the arms of his Savior, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him.

His legacy of faith, love, and kindness lives on in every life he has touched.
