Scott Lancz, 49, passed away August 2 after a brief battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Karin, nee Schlei, for 11 years; adored and caring father of Blake Grayson Lancz; cherished son of Lois and the late Robert Lancz; dear brother of Lisa (Michael) Soriano and Cheryl Lancz; loving son-in-law of Susan and the late Daryl Schlei and brother-in-law of Rebecca Bramer; uncle of Gillian, Samantha, and Gavin Bramer; treasured cousin, colleague, and friend of many. Scott was born and raised in Beachwood, Ohio. He was a proud alumnus and VERY devoted fan of the UF Gators. He was also very passionate about Cleveland's sports teams – the Guardians, the Cavaliers, and the Browns. Scott loved playing golf, paddle tennis, being Blake's biggest fan, and spending time with Karin. Scott always said he won the lottery by having the best wife and son one could ask for. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network).org, or a charity of your choice. Visitation Sunday, August 10, 11 AM until time of service at 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Rd, Arlington Heights, IL. Interment to follow at Randhill Park Cemetery.
