Hugh Scott Larsen, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 in Brigham City, Utah. Scott was born on February 25, 1945 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of H. Scott and Ellen Irene Hull Larsen. He was reared and educated in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High School in 1963. Scott was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he served faithfully his whole life. Scott married his sweetheart, Juliana on June 12, 1969 in the Logan Utah Temple. Together they raised 5 children. He and Julie served a guest service mission at the Conference Center from 2009-2012. As a third-generation rancher, Scott was passionate about all things agriculture. This included being a dairy farmer, beef rancher, and working in the fields. He developed his love of farming from his Grandfather who acquired land in Brigham City before Utah became a state. Scott loved his wife and family, loved to farm, and loved God and our Country. The board game "Aggravation" was a staple in the Larsen home which Scott played with his children, grandchildren, and wife. He was the ultimate example of service whether it was digging homes out of snow with his tractor and plow or simply visiting with someone. He had a compassionate and tender heart and he found joy in the simple beauties that surrounded him. Surviving is his wife, Julie; five children: Marie (Mark) Tomlinson; Lori Larsen; Bert (Lisa) Larsen; Travis (Angel) Larsen; Misty (Kyle) Julander; 22 grandchildren and one sister, June (Rodger) Hoffmann. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Gay Ann Stone. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Brigham City North Stake Center, 620 N. 300 E. Live stream will be at:https://my.gather.app/remember/scott-larsen-aug-2024 Family will greet friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 E 200 S., Brigham City, Utah and on Thursday at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
