Scott Melancon Obituary
Dunstable
Scott Alexander Melancon, age 58, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Southern NH Medical Center. Born in Lowell, MA, Scott was the beloved son of Raymond and Agnes (Paton) Melancon.
Scott graduated from Greater Lowell Vocational High School with the Class of 1983 and went on to work as an autobody mechanic in the Dunstable area. He was a longtime resident of Dunstable, where he found joy in various activities. Scott had a passion for racing pigeons, farming, and caring for cows and other farm animals. His love extended to his faithful companion, Harley, his beloved dog.
He is survived by his loving sons, Raymond and Adam Melancon both of Hudson, NH. Scott is also remembered by his nieces, Caitlin and Devon Bobo both of Weare, NH, as well as his sisters, Rae Ann Melancon of Milford, NH, and Sheila Melancon of Nashua, NH. Scott is also survived by his close friend, Lorene Aliot.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA. To the Melanson family.
My thought and prayers to you. I have so many memories of Scott and your family. When I was younger and would ride my bike down the hill to visit and I would always crash in the sand at the bottom. He thought me to go faster, after a few tries it worked. We would go down back and cut forks off an old bike and make a choppers out of our bikes. I loved going down to the shop having beers and getting current with all the Dunstable news. He was a part so many of us and will be missed.

Sending my sympathies much love to Scott's family.
I always appreciated the care and kindness he showed to the horses at the farm. They trusted him and he took good care of them. He was a great conversationalist and it was nice to hang out at the barn just to "chat".

`Scooter´ as I fondly referred to Scott particularly in his younger years for his love of all things motorcycles. Particularly when I saw him on his ZX 7 doing a wheelie in front of his house on n 1988 while his father was screaming at him!
Scott always helped me on my old plow trucks and constantly bailed me out of mechanical trouble.. his awesome father did too.
He was always good to me and I will miss him.
