Scott Gabriel Michelson

MARQUETTE, MI Scott Gabriel Michelson, age 63, of Marquette, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at home.
Born June 5, 1959, in Marquette, a son of Ronald and Mary (Ellis) Michelson, Scott was raised in South Marquette. Growing up, he spent a lot of time at camp with family and loved fishing. He always cherished the trips he took to the Hodag Music Festival in Wisconsin with his beloved uncles. In 1977, Scott graduated from Marquette Senior High School and moved to Texas in search of work, with a later move to Virginia. However, Scott s Upper Peninsula roots were deep and calling him home, so in the late 1980 s he returned to Marquette. Back in Marquette, Scott spent time with his mother who loved taking him to bingo, and going to the grocery store and running errands with his dad. In his later years, Scott had some health issues, but still tried to spend as much time as possible with family and friends. He was basically a private guy, gentle and loving, who cared deeply about other people and they felt the same about him. In his spare time, Scott enjoyed guts frisbee, hanging out at Hurley Field watching the games, and listening to his favorite band Pink Floyd. Scott was an avid Lions football and Blackhawks hockey fan.
Scott is survived by his father, Ronald; sisters, Tracy (Anthony) Maki and Kerry Bandle; nieces, Abby and Emily Bandle; and nephew, Alex Maki. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary, in 2009.
Honoring his request, no services will be held.
Interment will be made in the Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
