Scott William Myers, 62 of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, surrounded by the love of his family. Born June 5, 1963 in Staten Island, New York, Scott was the only child of Wesley Myers and the late Catherine LaMorte Myers. Scott was raised in the Concord neighborhood of Staten Island and he was a graduate of St. Peter's Boys High School. It was at a high school party where Scott would meet the love of his life, Rosalie Serpe. The couple started dating and eventually would marry. They lived on Staten Island and started a family there before moving to New Jersey. The family lived in Marlboro, before settling in Manalapan, 23 years ago. Scott worked as an elevator mechanic and was a member of the Local 1 Union. He was an avid sports fan and was a longtime season ticket holder of the New York Jets. He was also a huge fan of the Mets, Knicks, Islanders, and Ohio State. Sports were always a part of his life! As a young boy, he played for East Shore Little League and the Staten Island Football League. Later on, he played high school basketball, CYO basketball, and in the Touch Tackle League. Once he became a father, he coached soccer and basketball. Scott enjoyed making breakfast on the weekends for his family, was a handyman around the house, and always offered a helping hand when a job needed to be done. Scott had a personality that would light up a room, a witty sense of humor, and the ability to tell a great (and long) story. His company was enjoyed by everyone in his presence. More than anything Scott loved being with his family, especially his new grandsons and fur-grand babies. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Scott was predeceased by his mother, Catherine Myers. Scott is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Rosalie, by his loving daughters, Kristen Lynn Lager and her husband Holden, and Vanessa Wagner and her husband Thomas, by his caring father, Wesley Myers, and by his cherished grandchildren, Thomas Paul Wagner (aka Bambino) and Aston Holden Lager (aka Cowboy). The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A prayer service will be held during this visitation starting at 6:30 PM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations in Scott's memory are made to The American Heart Association. https://www.heart.org/en/why-give Online condolences may be made to the family at www.HegartyScaliaFuneralHome.com
