I'm so sorry to hear of Scott's passing this morning when I looked it up. I had the honor of knowing Scott when I worked for rise CIP in the early 90s. Last night I had a dream about Scott he walked up to me he was so tall and so handsome and smiling and laughing. He told me he was well. I asked him when he got out of his wheelchair, I was so surprised! We had a brief conversation and then he was gone. So I looked up his name and found the obit. I believe Scott is well in heaven, and very happy. Thank you Scott for letting me know. Blessings and peace to Elynn and David and all his family and friends

Dave and Elynn,
I worked with Scott and the Kumquat home for almost two years... I had to transfer out when I became too pregnant to work there. The impact Scott had on me was incredible. He taught me so much more than I was ever able to teach him and I truly believe my life is richer than it would have been without his influence. I still think of him all the time. My father passed away the day before Scott, I gave birth to my daughter on April 1st, and then it was time to plan my father's funeral, so I was unable to attend Scott's funeral... I would really appreciate it if you could tell me where he's buried so I can go visit him...
Thank you for sharing Scott with all of us. He was a beautiful soul and while I'm sad that he's no longer with us, I know he's free of the barriers he faced in this life...

Dear Family and Friends of Scott,
I used to work with Scott at Rise/CIP in Anoka back in 2000-2001. I recently found out about his passing and am truly sorry. He was wonderful and a joy to work with. He will be missed. May peace settle in all of our hearts as time passes and we gain acceptance.

Scott and his family, Although I havent seen Scott for many years, there is never a thought that I have from my days at Kumquat house. I remeber lots of laughs, especially in the kithen and dining room there with Scott and his house mates. Scott will be very missed. His laughter was so wonderful.

Hello Davy and Elynn, Our deepest sympathies from the McDuffie-Horning families, to you both upon the earthly loss of your son Scott. He was so very blest to have you both as his earthly parents. Though we all know he is happy where he is, I know you will miss him much in the days ahead. We continued to miss him at Presbyterian Church of the Master where you all attended for some time. I remember well his squeals of joy and laughter when things excited him during the service. He especially loved music!!! Any and all music from what I saw. Heaven is surely blest with his presence now. Again, our sympathies to you both...

I worked with Scott many years ago when he was at CIP Coon Rapids. He was always laughing and loved to be with all of his friends. He will be missed by many.

Scott,
Thank you! You have been my inspiration without knowing it. Through my mother, Jackie, I came to know you and your parents. I enjoyed reading the wonderful cards and letters sent to my Mom. At a low point in my life, I needed something positive. Your name came into my thoughts. I started giving little gifts to your Praying Ladies and Parents also little gifts to for Mom to give to you and the Gang at Kumquat House. It was what I needed. To thank your Parents and Praying Ladies. Thank you for being a part of my life even though we never met in person.
