Scott J. Parat, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025.

Born on July 18, 1954, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of John and Vera (Worby) Parat.

On August 28, 1982, Scott married the love of his life, Elizabeth "Liz" Dolby. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in love, laughter, and family.

Scott found joy in life's simplest and most meaningful moments-time spent with family, the craftsmanship of turning wood into art, and the quiet creativity of building websites from the ground up. His curiosity and talent knew no limits.

Scott was a man of deep faith, whose relationship with the Lord guided the way he lived his life-with humility, compassion, and unwavering love for others. His strong spiritual foundation was evident in how he cared for his family, served others, and faced life's challenges with quiet strength.

He was a steady, gentle presence who led with kindness and wisdom. As a husband, father, and grandfather, Scott was endlessly devoted and always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His sense of humor, thoughtful guidance, and deep love will be forever missed.

Scott leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, creativity, and integrity that lives on in everyone he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Parat; his children, Justin (Lisa) Parat, Michael (Breven) Parat, and Chris (Gina) Parat; and his beloved grandchildren, Logan, Carson, Callan, Gracie, Kinsley, Everet, Reese, and Sterling. He is also survived by his mother, Vera Parat; his sister, Barb (Don) Gick; and his sister-in-law, Geraldine Parat.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, John Parat, and his brother, John Parat.
