It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my father, Scott E. Robinson, who left us on September 12th 2024, at the age of 62.
He was surrounded by love in his last moments and I am forever honored to have been able to hold his hand through his final breath.
Dad was born July 25th 1962, to Emory and Kay Robinson. He was the oldest child, and had five younger siblings; Lorri, Trina, Kevin, Janna and Brett. He attended Granite High School and graduated in 1980. After high school, he went on to make a career consisting mainly of working on produce docks and driving trucks.
I'm 1986, he became a father, having me, his only child. Whether it was trips to Blockbuster, where I always got to pick the movies and treats, or visits to my Grandma and Grandpa's house, time with him was always special. Dad and I would spend Friday nights watching 'Walker Texas Ranger' and playing Monopoly. Sometimes I'd even get ice cream after breakfast. He was the most patient person I've ever known. He was also very sentimental, he saved every greeting card from me, any art work I made for him, letters to Santa and all my programs from school plays and graduation. As I grew up, Dad was always there to check in on me, offer advice and help in any way he could. I couldn't have asked for a better father.
I'm 2008, dad gained a son in law, whom he jokingly referred to as "his favorite". In the years that followed, he found his true calling as a 'professional grandpa'. He has three grandchildren that never had to go to Daycare, instead they spent their days with Grandpa Scott. He changed diapers, read books, and taught them how to play Candy Crush and hunting games. He even did pre-school drop offs for all three. Most importantly though, he spent quality time with each of them. They were his pride and joy. His grandchildren know how much he loved them, and I'm so thankful they got to spend their early years with him.
My dad is preceded in death by his father, Emory Robinson, along with many other family members and friends.
He is survived my me, his loving daughter Stephanie Robinson Barrera, his "favorite son-in-law" Armando Barrera, his grandchildren; Isabela, Fabian, and Iris Barrera, his mother Kay Robinson, and all of his siblings and their families.

I love you Dad.
