Scott Semder, 59, of Indian Trail, NC, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025. Born
on September 25, 1965, in Massapequa, NY, to Barbara and Walter Semder, he lived a life
dedicated to his family, his work, and helping others.
Scott and his wife Laura shared a loving partnership of 40 years. He was a devoted father
to his children, Brad, Stephen, and Krista, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren.
A proud veteran, Scott served in the United States Navy in Norfolk, Virginia. After a
fulfilling career in the construction industry, he found his passion with DPR Construction in
North Carolina, where he worked for nearly eight years. He considered his crew family and
deeply valued his role as a foreman.
Known for his unwavering kindness and willingness to help anyone in need, Scott had a
generous spirit. He was always ready with a helping hand and a cheerful disposition. Scott is
survived by his wife, Laura; his children, Brad, Stephen, and Krista; his siblings, Paul Semder
and Karen Vicari; and his cherished grandchildren. Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew
him. His memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral and Cremation Service on January 18th, 2025
