Scott was born in Grand Junction, Colorado where he lived his entire life. He went to Fruitvale Elementary, Grand Mesa Middle School, Central High School, R-5 and graduated from Goal Academy. Scott was charismatic his entire life and made friends very easily, so it is an understatement to say he had a lot friends. It was very rare to find someone that did not love Scott. He was a very loving, kind, loyal person. He had lifelong best friends who became family. Scott was an extremely talented musician, so he was also very well-known and loved in the community. He loved spending time with his family and friends, as well as collaborating on writing songs and performing them. He was a member of several bands throughout his life but most recently he was in The Truckstop Quickies, which won local album of the year in 2018. He also loved music, writing and performing, busking downtown, just walking around, biking, hiking, camping, and fishing. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his witty comebacks, his silliness, the giant kind heart that he had, and so much more. He will also be known for the funny things he would do to make his friends and family laugh. Because of his funny and witty sense of humor and his special unique relationships with so many of the people he loved, he will forever be known as the king of the inside jokes. He was larger than life and will be dearly missed. In his 28 years here on earth, he made such a huge impact that he will never be forgotten.
Scott entertained us for many years on earth as one big audition for the Lord and the Lord chose Scott to come back home and play in Heaven’s band on July 15, 2023.
Scott is survived by his parents John and Bobbie Stephenson, his brothers and sisters Mike (Liz), Heather (Andrew), Nykita (Jermaine), DJ (Ariel), John (Des), and his nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
