Scott Cory Strauss

Scott C. Strauss of Bush, Louisiana passed away on April 5, 2023. Scott passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones, He was a graduate from West Jefferson High School. Scott was an exceptional pool and dart player for the Fishin Stuff were his teammates loved him. He worked as a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Gretna and Bush, Louisiana for years and loved every minute of it, and made lifelong friends. He coached the girls and boys at the Bush Rec. Center for years in football and basketball. He loved seeing the kids grow up and he was given coach of the year in 1999. We could have not asked for a better husband, father, brother or friend that what Scott had to offer, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents Donald Sr. and Grace Strauss, and Laurie Stauss Babin. He is survived by his wife Ginger Bays Strauss, son Michael Strauss of Ponchatoula, La. and daughter Rebecca Peavey of Florida. He also leaves behind to cherish his memories his siblings, Bettie Strauss, Donald Strauss, Jr. and Joey Loehr as well as; his nephew George Verdin and lifelong friend of Anna and Dario Cardona, Craig Chavers and Jim Roper.
