Scott Ralph Thonen

Scott Ralph Thonen, age 54, of Dunnellon, Florida, passed away on July 27, 2024. Born on August 16, 1969, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Scott lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to his family.
Scott is survived by his beloved daughters Kayla Thonen, Shayla Thonen, and Aayla Thonen; his brother Samuel Thonen Jr.; his mother Carol Thonen; his grandson Stuart Larrea; and his granddaughter Lyndee Stevenson. He is preceded in death by his cherished son, Garrett Thonen, and his father, Samuel Thonen Sr.
Scott earned his GED and built a career that demonstrated his hard-working nature and versatility. He worked as a production worker at E-One, later as a custodian at Monroe Regional Medical, and finally a heavy equipment operator for Marion County. Scott's commitment to his work was evident to all who knew him.
In his free time, Scott found joy in camping, fishing, and exploring the latest in gaming and gadgets. He was passionate about the outdoors and loved sharing these hobbies with family and friends.
Scott will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering support for those he loved. His legacy lives on in the countless memories and lessons he imparted to his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 8th, at 12:00 PM. The family invites all who knew Scott to join them in celebrating his life and sharing the memories that made him so special.
