Scottie Warren Bryant of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away September 16, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Piedmont, he spent his entire adult life along the beautiful banks of Terrapin Creek, a place that always brought him peace and joy. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, Scottie served his country with dedication and honor. His talents were many, but his music was a gift to all who knew him. Whether strumming a guitar or keeping rhythm on the drums, he played entirely by ear-no sheet music required-sharing his heart through every note. Family meant everything to Scottie and he cherished every moment with them. He held a particularly close and loving bond with his mother, whose relationship he treasured deeply. His loyal companion, his beloved dog "Lucy," was always by his side and brought him constant comfort. A graduate of Piedmont High School's Class of 1990, Scottie remained connected to friends through social media, offering friendship, and kindness to all. Scottie will be remembered for his comical spirit, his natural talents, and the love he poured into his family, friends, and faithful Lucy. His joking personality and mischievous smile will be greatly missed. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in Boaz with the Rev. Jeff Chamblee officiating. Survivors include his mother, Kathy Hallmark Bryant of Piedmont; brother, Brian Keith Bryant (Donna) of Piedmont; two nieces Darby Kole Davis (Dustin) and Kerstin Jade Allbright (Jordan); aunts, Janet Rogers, Joan Moman, and Karen Hauser (Greg); uncle, Jacky Hallmark; fur baby, Lucy; several cousins and special friend, George Acker. Scottie was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Keith Bryant; grandparents, Warren and Jessie Mae Hallmark and Rev. Scott and Flo Bryant; uncles, Gaylon Rogers and Gerald Moman. Pallbearers will be Dustin Davis, Jordan Allbright, Warren Richey, Michael Hauser, Shane Bridges, and George Acker. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 333, Piedmont, AL 36272.
