Scotty Roy Chestnut of Chandler, Arizona tragically passed away on August 27, 2025.

Scotty was born June 24, 1973, at Alma, Nebraska, the son of Dennis Chestnut and Jillinda (Blackburn) Isernhagen.

Scotty enjoyed growing up on the farm, hunting and fishing and playing with his sisters and many cousins. He attended Phillipsburg Schools through grade school and junior high, he then transferred to Logan High School where he graduated in 1991. After graduation he worked in Colorado with his great-uncle and earned his electrician certificate. After moving back to Phillipsburg, he worked several years at Tamko Building Products. He enjoyed remodeling houses and updated several to resell. He could fix anything and would help anyone that asked.

On June 19, 2007, Scotty welcomed his beloved son, Ean, into the world. Ean was Scotty's pride and joy. Ean recently graduated from high school and will miss his father's love and influence. Scotty also loved and contributed to his stepchildren's lives over the years. Each was treated as his own during the time he was their stepfather. His stepchildren include Tyler Dunn, Trevor Dunn, Chris Dunn, Emma Lindstrom, Clair Consbruck, Ellie Lindstrom, Gabi (George) Rose, Chase Litzner and Mathew Wunder, Jr.

Scotty was united in marriage to Kimberly Wunder June 10, 2017, at Plainville, Kansas. In 2019 they moved to Arizona, where Scotty went back to school to earn a Harley Davison Technician Degree due to his passion for motorcycles. At the time of his death, Scotty was working at OTC Industrial Technologies (Keller Electric, Laron & AAP Automation), Phoenix, Arizona. He was working on large motors and loved his job. His garage is completely full of NEEDED tools.

Scotty is survived by his wife, Kimberly and son Ean of the home in Arizona. His mother, Jillinda Isernhagen and Father and Stepmother Dennis and Brenda Chestnut. Siblings, Jodi Wilkison and Dale Hanchett, Jami Reed and Joseph Calhoun, Kati and Clinton Gottschalk and Payton and Jenny Chestnut; above mentioned stepchildren, grandchildren Jaxon and Aviela Rose and Tomas Jone III., and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Scotty was preceded in death by his grandparents, brother, Jeffrey Chestnut, Brother-in-Law, Allen Reed, stepfather David Isernhagen, and Nephew, Lavonte Reed.

Funeral Servies will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 @3:00 p.m. at the Chestnut Family Cemetery, south of Speed, Kansas. The family will receive friends and family at the Speed School House following the service.
