Sean Corry, 58, of Glen Rock, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 18, 2024 and is remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, son, brother, and uncle. Born July 14, 1966 Sean grew up in Huntington, NY, where he attended Walt Whitman High School before going on to play Division II Soccer at Franklin Pierce University. Sean enjoyed living in New York City before settling down with his family in Glen Rock, New Jersey.
Sean was a sports guy through and through. He loved sporting events. Not only did he cheer on his children at their many games, but could be found at local college games; especially NJIT and FDU, and at any Glen Rock High School sporting event. He thrilled in seeing former players he coached succeeding as well as the friends of his children. Sean was a coach at heart. He loved spreading his knowledge of any sport with those around him. He took great pride in watching Owen and Julia achieve success playing lacrosse at NJIT and FDU respectively. He was ecstatic that William would be continuing his lacrosse career at NJIT. Sean looked forward to Sunday mornings so he could cheer on his favorite team, Manchester United and watch Liverpool with John, who he loved talking soccer with. Sean's pursuit to help others reach their goals continued to the very end. He loved the comradery of the fan section and made many wonderful friends along the way. Sean also loved the Outer Banks, North Carolina. A perfect day ended with drinks on the peer at Fish Heads listening to some of his favorite " Yacht Rock" tunes being played by local talent.
Sean was the Director of Operations for Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP in New York City, NY. He was a respected member of the Quinn Emanuel team. Sean enjoyed his work, but more importantly, he loved mentoring and helping others advance their career path. Sean considered the staff at Quinn Emanuel as part of his extended family and took great pride in the longstanding friendships he cultivated.
