Sean Michael Crosby of Tega Cay, South Carolina passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Throughout his life, Sean was a world changer, a shining light who believed that anything is possible with determination and perseverance, despite his Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy diagnosis at an early age. Sean had many passions in life that he embraced to the fullest. A die-hard Carolina Panthers fan, Sean would gather with his tight-knit group of friends for fun and football. His friends were so special to him, and they lovingly describe him as the glue that binds them together. Sean was a man of God~ his faith was important to him as well as his love for his family. Sean was a humble, compassionate and selfless person who was always thinking of and doing for others with love and kindness. Sean was always strong, always optimistic, used Innovention against adversity and adopted a “no excuse” policy. He worked around his disability and turned obstacles into opportunities.
Sean was always giving back~ his passion to connect people with each other was such a gift. He loved working with people and gave freely of his time. He was a peer mentor for young adults with disabilities. He loved using his sport knowledge by announcing games for young adults with disabilities with the Sports Conquer League. He shared his love of chess teaching elementary school students his best strategies. Sean served on the board of the All Things are Possible organization which raises money for families’ medical expenses. Sean also served on the Adult Advisory Board for the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy organization. And he was so proud of building his own two businesses Ink Me Up and Future Me Motivation. Sean’s longest active support included helping to create Sean’s Dream Team to raise money and awareness for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Through 15 years, he connected family, friends and other Duchenne families and helped build and grow a community of love and support. Sean chose the motto #keeppounding for Sean’s Dream Team and he did exactly that.
Sean’s legacy will be that of strength and humility, optimism and love.
