Sebastian Lee Janow

A Gathering of Friends for Mr. Sebastian Lee Janow will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Janow, 26, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
He was the most generous, lovely soul you could ever meet. He was raised to be kind and humble, no matter what. He walked every single step of his life this way without complaint or impatience. He was a great man with a tall stature, but had an even bigger, greater heart. His smile would light up the whole building, not just the room.
He was his mother's rock when she needed to be held up. She will miss the morning coffees at work with him and the fact that before he left work, he would always give her a hug and a kiss on the top of her head as he went to clock out. She wishes she could get one more of those hugs from her sweet baby boy.
He made his father proud. He enjoyed talking to him and loved watching him make a life for himself. He will miss Sebastian's laugh, his smile, and how generous he was. He thought he was a bright and courageous soul when he took the bus from Louisiana to South Dakota at seventeen years old; he could make friends anywhere. His father believed he was the best part of him and hopes Sebastian knew that he thought of him everyday.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Sydney Janow; and his maternal grandparents, Averrill Dewey and Mary Gooden.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his father, Wade Janow (Davonna) of Junction City, Kansas; his mother, Angela Cook (Dennis) of Glenmora; two brothers, Ricky Haro of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Aidan Renner of Junction City, Kansas; four sisters, Kandis Mayberry of Hays, Kansas, Ivi Cook of Glenmora, Nevada Roughton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Santanna Haro of Junction City, Kansas; and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Dixie Janow of Muldrow, Oklahoma.
The family would like to welcome everyone to a Celebration of Life for Sebastian at the Mowad Civic Center in Oakdale, LA, on Monday, September 9, 2024, from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m.
