Sebastian Pipitone Sebastian Pipitone, 86, of Ruckersville, Virginia, died on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Evergreene Nursing Home.

He was born on June 4, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late, John and Stella Novinski Pipitone.

Mr. Pipitone was a World War II veteran serving his country in the United States Army, where he received the Asiatic-Pacific medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Service medal, Good Conduct medal and the World War II Victory medal.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lorraine Pipitone; and children, Barbara Connolly of Henderson, Nevada, Terry Tursi and her husband, Joe, of Rockville Centre, New York, Sandy Auer and her husband, Bill, of Ruckersville, Virginia, and John Pipitone and his wife, Kelly of East Islip, New York.

Additional survivors include his sister, Theresa Cangialosi of Dumont, New Jersey; his brother, Joe Pipitone of Central Islip, New York; thirteen grandchildren, Timothy Connolly, Erin Kelly, Cristi Favata, Joey Tursi, Frannie Scannapieco, Jamie, Jessica, Samantha and Will Auer and Jenna, Karli, Skylar and Jake Pipitone; and three great- grandchildren, Lia Kelly, Ashley and Abigail Favata.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Chichi Mazzolla.

A private service will be held in New York at a later date.
