Ms. Selena Walker was born on April 26, 1938, in Vermillion Parish, to the union of Eva B. Walker and John Walker. She departed this life on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Camelot of Broussard in Broussard, LA.
She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Miss Nelta Walker of Youngsville, LA; one niece who was also her godchild, Geneva (Harold) Christian of Youngsville, LA; Jesse (Troy) Schexnaider of Lafayette, LA; one nephew, Wilbert (Gail) Darby of Youngsville, LA; and a special little family whom she called her own, Wilbert Darby, Jr. (Rita) of Youngsville, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva and John Walker; five brothers: Louis Viltz, Joseph Walker, Minos and Allen Walker, and Voris Walker; five sisters: Rozella, Alberta, Margret, Wilda, and Delta Walker; one brother-in-law, Clemile Darby; one sister-in-law, Eunice Viltz; one niece, Edna Buckingham; and one nephew, Rev. Joseph Darby.
