Serge A. Turcotte, 69, passed away on June 29, 2025, at his home in Bath, NH, with his family by his side.

Born on June 27, 1956, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, he was the son of Julien and Yvette (Rodrigue) Turcotte.

Serge moved to the United States from Sherbrooke, Canada at the age of 9 and became a US Citizen on January 27, 1971.

He attended school until the 9th grade when he left to pursue his lifelong career. He started working with his dad and became a proud member of the Carpenters Union for 51 years with local 327.

Serge was a member of the Ammonoosuc Valley Fish and Game Club of Woodsville, NH, he was a member of the American Legion Ross Wood Post # 20, and in his younger years he was a member of The Knights of Columbus.

He married the love of his life, Micheline Barriere in Manchester, NH, and spent the rest of his life making memories with her.

Serge had many passions. He loved the outdoors and would spend as much time as he could taking in the New England beauty. He loved hunting and fishing, 4 wheeling and cruising, and riding his beloved motorcycle. The most important and fulfilling passion was his family.

He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and had some classic sayings like, “And this is why we have problems” and “Why are you being like that, when I’m being like this?” He knew how to make the people around him smile.

He made the world a better place just by being in it. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Serge is predeceased by his Brother-in-law; Charles Barriere.

He is survived by his loving wife, Micheline (Barriere) Turcotte, his children; JeanPaul and Jason, his Step-Children, Robert and Matthew, his 4 grandchildren; Katelyn, Emily, Jamie, and Jordan, His Brother; Claude Turcotte and his wife Pamela of Bunker Hill, WV, His sisters; Sylvie Mullen and her husband David of Ossipee, NH, Nancy Abbott and her husband Russell of Gilmanton, NH, His Mother-in-Law; Jacqueline Cote Barriere from Manchester NH, His In-Laws, Elaine Croteau Barriere of New Boston, NH, Nelson Barriere and his wife Christiane of Dunbarton, NH, Doris Weaver and her husband James of Weare, NH, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Wednesday July 9, 2025, from 4pm-7pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, located at 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

An hour of celebration will take place the following morning at Phaneuf Funeral Home, Thursday July 10, 2025, from 10am-11am with a service to follow.

Serge will be laid to rest following services, at Mt Calvary Cemetery in Manchester, NH.

Serge and Micheline would like to thank everyone at North Country Home Health and Hospice Agency, especially Mary APRN, RN’s Juliah, Haley, Leigh, and Carissa, social worker, Kera, and the night crew that helped them in their time of need. They are truly the most loving, caring, team, and the family appreciates every one of them. Thank You.
