(Michael) Sern Kyu Lee

Michael was born in 1937 in South Korea, where he was raised before journeying abroad in search of opportunity-first to Germany and later to the United States. He spent more than 30 years in the Chicago area before ultimately making his home in the Atlanta region

He was the patriarch of his family in the United States. By paving the way for many relatives who followed him to America, he opened doors to opportunity for future generations and left a lasting legacy of perseverance and hope.

He was motivated by his love for family, strong business relationships, and commitment to community, and also was successful in business with his integrity and purpose. He was an avid golfer, a lifelong learner, and someone who firmly believed in giving others the chance to succeed. He formed deep, long-lasting relationships and cared profoundly for both his family and his community.

His Catholic faith was the foundation of his life. Unwavering in belief, he lived with quiet devotion and entrusted himself fully to God's loving providence.

Michael is survived by his sons, John (Sandra) and Thad (Michelle); their mother, Agnes; his granddaughters, Madelyn and Megan; his two beloved dogs; and many cherished family members whose lives were enriched by his presence.

We commend him to the mercy of God, trusting that he now rests in eternal peace.
